The Trumpet ginkgo in Ioji is a variation of ginkgo, and has Rohto-shapeed leaves (trumpet leaves). Approximately only 10% of the leaves are Rohto leaves. Ginkgo trees having trumpet leaves are rarely seen, but this tree has a particularly high chance of having a trumpet shape. The trumpet leaf, Ohatsuki leaf, and umbrella-shaped trumpet leaf were registered as natural monuments of Hyogo in 1977 as a botanically rare tree.
